Elongation 350% minimum
Longitudinal change -15%
Specific gravity 1.20 maximum
Water absorption 1.00% maximum
Dielectric strength 200V/mil (79kV/cm) minimum
Volume resistivity 1 x 1012 Ω/cm minimum
Dielectric constant 3.2

Product Application Information

Heat-shrink tubing gives you more choices to achieve reliable, rugged cabling systems. Heatshrink provides an easy solution to colour coding wires for easy circuit identification or make fast, reliable repairs to nicked or worn insulation.
For a secure fit, it is necessary that the tubing's recovered diameter (the diameter after shrinkage) is smaller than the diameter of the area to be insulated. At the same time, the tubing's expanded diameter (the diameter before shrinkage) needs to be large enough to fit easily over the area to be insulated, as well as any connectors attached to it.

Benefits of Silicon Rubber

Silicone rubber has excellent resistance to extreme temperatures and does not react with most chemicals due to it being a highly inert material.
