Product Details
The 1A female crimp circular connector contact from RS PRO can be used to wire up MDR series connectors. It's compatible with wires sized between 24 and 28 AWG.
Moulded from phosphor bronze, the flange-mounting contact will stand up to metal fatigue. Tin plating ensures contact resistance of less than 30 mΩ and provides solderable tags for a ground connection. The 15.2 mm contact has a current rating of 1 A and voltage rating of 50 V AC/DC. It will operate at temperatures between -40˚C and +160˚C. The contact has been tested to guard equipment against electrostatic discharge (ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS EN 61340-5-1:2007) and contains only minimal hazardous substances (Restriction of Hazardous Substances).
With a size and contact density that's suitable for transmitting shielded data signals, this contact is used in computer and telecommunications systems.
RS PRO is our own brand range and brings you a wide range of high-quality, great value products offering you more choice. Trusted by engineers all over the world, every part of every RS PRO product has been rigorously tested against demanding industry standards; theyre only given the RS PRO Seal of Approval if were confident of their exceptional quality, which means you can be confident too.
Connectors and moulded leads, available in the mini-DIN style configuration commonly used in communication and computer applications. Their small physical size and high contact density make them very suitable for transmitting shielded data signals.
Great care must be taken when using the recommended crimp tool (stock No. 210-5012 ), in that the contact body is not over-crimped.
