TE Connectivity 0.5mm FPC Connectors
FFC/FPC connectors with a 0.5mm centreline ideal for routing signals through devices when standard wire to board connectors are too large. These 0.5mm FFC/FPC connectors have ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) where an actuator is used to secure the FPC. ZIF connectors produce less wear on the contacts, increase the mating cycle count and provide improved retention in high vibration environments. These 0.5mm ZIF FPC connectors feature a slide lock actuator, the actuator is opened, the FPC inserted into the connector and the actuator closed again forming a secure mating connection. No additional application tooling is required. Solder tabs on the connectors provide extra connector retention to the PCB. These 0.5mm FPC connectors are available as vertical mounting or right angle mounting with top or bottom contact configurations.
