Product details
TE Connectivity Slide Switches - ASE and ASF Series
ASE and ASF series PCB mount slide switches with bifurcated double wipe contacts for telecom grade switching. The ASF series PCB mount slide switches are for auto insertion on standard IC equipment. These PCB mount slide switches are vertical mounting with natural coloured actuators which are side or top oriented. Series ASE slide switches have extended style actuators and the ASF series slide switches have flush style actuators.
Features and Benefits
Through-hole professional slide switches available with gold or silver plated contacts
Operating temperature range: -40°C +80°C, making them particularly suited to harsh environments
Available in 2 or 4 pole versions, with flush or extended actuators
Typical applications include instrumentation, test and measurement equipment, etc.
Make before break configuration
Electrical life: 10000 operations
Contact rating: 0.4VA @ 20Vdc (gold); 300mA @ 115Vac/28Vdc (silver)
What is DPDT?
DPDT is a Double Pole, Double Throw switch, it adds another pole to the SPDT switch. Single pole refers to the number of individual circuits you are switching and the throw is how many connections you are making on each of the poles, so the DPDT can control two separate circuits. It's similar to having two separate SPDT switches in one configuration operating at the same time. A DPDT switch is a 6 terminal switch, two terminals are used as an input and connected to a set of output contacts.
What is Break-Before-Make?
The break-before-make feature stops the momentary connection of new and old paths by opening the first contact before closing the new contacts.
Typical Applications
TE Connectivity Slide Switches are PCB mounted and are found in electronics, computer servers and test and measurement programmes.
