Product details

TE Connectivity MiniSeal High Performance Immersion-Resistant Crimp Splices

MiniSeal high performance immersion-resistant crimp splices designed to provide long-term performance and excellent reliability in challenging environments. These MiniSeal splices have a lightweight, low profile design for use in applications where the need for space saving and environmental sealing is critical. MiniSeal splices consist of a plated copper crimp barrel, meltable inserts and a heat-shrinkable transparent sealing sleeve. The insulation sleeve provides environmental protection to the electrical connection against liquids such as hydraulic fluid, aviation fuel and lubrication fluids and the resulting chemical and galvanic corrosion. The heat-shrinkable sleeve also provides strain relief for the splice. Stock numbers with part numbers D-436-36/37/38 are MIL-S-81824/1 qualified and are suitable for use on aircraft, aerospace vehicles and similar applications where exposure to severe wind and high moisture occurs.
For suitable crimp tool see stock number 444-5693, a heating tool and reflector attachment must also be used.

Features and Benefits

Small and lightweight design
Easy one-step installation
Immersion resistant
Environmentally sealed against liquid penetration and resulting corrosion
Suitable for use in harsh environments
MIL spec M8184/1 versions available

Applications

These MiniSeal immersion resistant crimp splices are suitable for use in harsh environments within the aerospace and defence industries
